The dog is a domestic subspecies of the wolf. There are more than 800 recognized breeds in the world. Dogs have had a relationship with humans for more than 10,000 years. One breed that is originated from Mexico is the Chihuahua, which it is know very popular in many parts of the world. These breeds are the smallest dog breed and are named after the state of Chihuahua. They usually live 14 or 15 years. Its weight is 2-12 pounds and height is 6-9 inches. The coat is short-haired or long-haired and the color is usually solid, marked or splashed. The head is apple-shaped, with a short pointy muzzle. Their teeth are leveled or scissor shape. The eyes are round, large and very dark. the ears are large and erect. The Tail is sickle-shaped or curled. Finally the feet are small and dainty. One interesting fact about them is that their sweat produces a chemical that helps control asthmatic persons. Another dog that is very similar to the Chihuahua is the Toy Fox Terrier. The Toy Fox Terrier is a playful and silly dog. It is very similar to the Smooth Fox Terrier and Chihuahua. Many people use these dogs to be in jumping competitions. If you like small dogs this would be the best dog for you, also they love to curl up on your lap. They always want to be with their owners and be comfortable. The Toy Fox Terrier, also known as TFT, has been loved and adored by many families. It continues to be an addictive dog, which finds a way into your heart. The Golden Retriever is a large dog breed used as gundog to retrieve. These breeds were originated from Scotland. It has three nicknames Golden, Goldie and Yellow Retriever. There are two types of Golden Retrievers the American type that is athletic and well balanced and the British type is type is bigger-boned, shorter, with a more square head and or muzzle and is generally slightly heavier.
