Sasha
Since I was eight years old I had a beautiful, playful and happy Golden Retriever named Candy. She was six years and 5 months old and her brown shinny and brightful eyes and her goldish/yellowish coat were beautiful. Several months ago she became ill. A tick with an infection bit her and her health became every day until February 23, 2007 she died. For me it was very sad to lose my best friend. I was very sad for a long period of time and knew I could not replace her, but still I wanted another dog. On June 23, my dad took me to a dog shelter in the mountains of Heredia. When we got there, I saw all kinds of dogs. Some were black, white, brown, and mixed colors, there were big about 45-50cm, others small (12-20cm) and some were medium size (25-40cm), some in really bad shaped and their hair coat was messy and dirty, but others were clean their coat was brushed and neat and they were really cute. Then, I saw a black puppy with brown eyes, I knew she was the one. I told my dad I wanted her. We told the lady in charge of the dogs we wanted the black dog. She said we just had to fill in a form to adopt the pup. After that, my dad gave a donation to help feed the dogs. The women gave us the dog, and I was so happy with my new puppy. I decided to name her Sasha. When we got home she investigated the entire house and jumped on the furniture. Now a days we are trying to train her, but she still does some bad things in the house and has the garden full of holes. We all try to train her so when she grows up she will be a good dog. I feel really happy with Sasha, and my dad says I should feel proud of myself because I adopted a street dog. With the donation we gave the lady, they can feed other animals until someone adopts them.

Trip to la Fortuna
On May 24 I woke up at 5:00 a.m. to get ready and go to school at 6:45 a.m. Around 7:15 we took off to Arenal. On our way there I listen to music about half of the trip. I also watch Hairspray, and talk with my friends. We stopped at a very good restaurant called La Choza del Laurel. There we could change for the concert. The purpose of this trip was to give a concert at La Fortuna Park. The concert was with the band and choir, but the choir did not do so well because of the open area. At the end of the concert we packed the band instruments. After the concert the choir people where all sweating because of the togas. When we arrived at Los Lagos hotel the teachers registered and gave us our room number and the key. At the rooms we when to change to go to the swimming pool, but in our way to the pool it started to rain. I got totally wet. When it stopped raining, I used that time to go quickly to the room and get a hot shower. Until 8:45 p.m. I stayed in the room watching T.V. Then we went to eat dinner at La Choza del Laurel and I ate arroz con pollo. When we came back to the hotel I put my pajamas on and went directly to sleep. At 6:00 a.m., someone knocked at the door so we could see the volcano erupting and I could not go back to sleep. I got ready to go to the waterfalls and have a great time. At the time we arrived to the waterfalls, I saw it was a beautiful place. To get to the waterfalls we had to go down many, many steps. The waterfall was beautiful, there was a ”balcony” where you could see the waterfall better and there I saw a rainbow. The water was cool, but may people get in. when we got back to the hotel I was sweating for going up many stairs, so I took a bath. The rest of the time I packed my stuff. And again we had lunch at La Choza del Laurel. After that we headed back to San José. On the trip we were watching Harry Potter, but I felt asleep until we arrived to school. My dad was waiting for me at the parking lot. Then I went home.

Ocean
The ocean is one of the most beautiful things the Earth has. It covers ¾ of the Earth. In the ocean you may find may kinds of species. Dolphins are my favorite ocean mammals. They related to the whales and porpoies. There are about forty different kinds of dolphins. There kindom is animalia, the phylum is chordata, the class mammalia, the order cetacea and suborder is odontoceti. Dolphins are considered to be amongst the most intelligent of animals and their often friendly appearance and seemingly playful attitude have made them popular in human culture. One of my other favorites is the turtle. They are considered to be reptiles. The turtles are one of the oldest reptile groups. The largest turtles are aquatic. The kingdom is animalia, the phylum is chordata, the class is sauropsida and the order is testudines. Seashells are often found on the sand of the beach, but many times scuba divers dive deep in the ocean to find tone, but tone of these. One seashell that is known is the giant clam, which is the largest extant bivalve. My favorite seashell is the pearl oyster, because when it ones it has a pear inside. Some seashells are Mollusca, ark shell and sand dollar. All shell are formed by an animal. One of the islands that is very pretty and has many varieties of animals is Cocos Island, which is located in the Pacific Ocean 550km form the shore of Costa Rica.It is one of the National Parks of Costa Rica. This Island has an rectangular shape. Many people use Cocos Island to scuba dive with sharks, dolphins, fish and many other large animals. This Island has more than 400 known species. Freedom of Speech
What freedom of speech means to me is that you have the right to express yourself in any way that you want. Also I think it is expressing your point of view of something or someone your opinion. You can say this without fear of punishment. All humans have the right to speak, and not to be told to stop talking. In my opinion we all have the same rights. Freedom of speech as a blogger is a big responsibility because you can’t just post something insulting or discriminating. Well, first of all because someone may get offended. In my opinion it is also the most important right protected by the Bill of Rights. I think this because there can’t be a law that keeps people from speaking or writing what they want. Also because people have all the right to say what they think and their opinions to the government. Freedom of speech is expressing what you think or feel. But many people don’t think that way, maybe because they think they can get arrested or accused. Also if you are writing a letter that is also Freedom of Speech, because you are expressing your thoughts and ideas on a piece of paper. In the other hand Freedom of Speech is used all over the world on Internet, in books, television, and much more. I specially use Freedom or Speech when I’m at my house, that school or small group discussions to express what I really want to say.

Fashion throughout the years
On the last years fashion has changed in many ways. Well, fashion has been around for many years. In the 1795- 1820 fashion existed, but only in Europe. On those years the style was inspired in Empire silhouette. The dresses were falling loosely below, and closely fitted to the torso just under the bust. In 1830 the dresses were large sleeves, above large full conical skirts, ideally with a narrow, low waist between achieved through corseting. The dresses for the 1840 were long, long sleeves, and their waists became low and pointy. In the 1850 the same style for the 40s continued. By 1860s the skirt was uses, they had a bell shape form. The fullness in the skirt had moved to the rear, where elaborate draping was held in place by tapes and supported by a bustle. That was the 1870s fashion. By the 1880s they remained using the skirt, but, with fullness gradually rising from behind the knees to just below the waist. By 1890s there were some extravagances, there was a mix of the 50s, 70s, and 80s styles. The 1900s fashion was very similar as the 1830s fashion. In 1910, there was a rich and exotic touch on the dresses. The modern era was enter in the 1920s. By 1930 – 1945 there were butterfly sleeves and banjo sleeves, and exaggerated shoulder pads. In 1950 -1960 the petticoats were the latest in the fashion world. The hippie style was entering the 70s. By 80s the fashion was looser shirts and tight pants. In the 1990s there were many styles like Hip Hop, Body Piercing, Skater Style, Sagging, Mod Revival, Seventies Revival, Punk/Goth, Nineties Preppy and Dockers and Cargo pants. Many styles from the 90s remain in the 2000s.

In the fashion world, there are many brands such as Gucci, Prada, Dolce and Gabbana aka D&G and Chanel. These brands are all famous and widely known by everyone in the world. Here is a little information about some of the brands mentioned up above.Gucci: In 1921 it was created by an Italian designer named Guccio Gucci. This brand is one of the more recognized brand in the world. Prada: It is a recognized Italian company. Mario Prada founded it, in 1913. Nowadays Prada is considered one of the best clothing designer company. Dolce and Gabbana: Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana founded Dolce & Gabbana in 1985. Also known as D&G.House of the Chanel: Most commonly known as Chanel. It was founded by Coco Chanel in 1910. They make Sunglasses, Clothing, Swimming suits, jewelry, perfumes etc.All of these brands are my favorite Fashion brands. If you notice the brands where named by the founder(s) last name. Also most of the brands I chose were create in the 1900s. One of the first brands to be founded was Chanel, which was in the 1910s. And Dolce and Gabbana founded in 1985 is one of the most recent brands in the fashion world.

America’s next top model
One of the most popular TV shows in the United States is America’s Next Top Model also known as Top Model and ANTM. The purpose of this show is to find a model. Tyra Banks was the one who created it and also she judges the contestants with four other judges. Every cycle there are new contestants about 10-14, and every episode one girl gets eliminated, right now they are in cycle 10. And the contestants are Kimberly Rydzewski, Atalya Slater, Allison Kuehn, Amis Jenkins, Marvita Washington, Aimee Wright, Anya Kop, Claire Unabia, Dominique Reighard, Fatima Slad, Katarzyna Dolinska, Lauren Utter, Stacy Ann Fequiere and Whitney Thompsom. They get eliminated on how bad is their picture or how they acted with the judges. This show is related to fashion in many ways. First the contestants are dresses with fashion designers clothes. Second Tyra gives them advices on how to dress like a model. And last the make up the use when they are doing the photo-shot. Many Famous photographers photograph the girls. Also the fashion icon Twiggy. She was one of the judges, but now instant it is Paulina Porizkova. Some Of the Past winners were Adrianne Curry(cycle 1, Yoanna House(cycle 2), Eva Pigford(cycle 3), Naima Mora(cycle 4), Nicole linkletter(cycle5), Danielle Evans(cycle 6), CariDee English(cycle 7), Jaslene Gonzalez(cycle 8), and Saleisha Stowers ( cycle 9).
